The Red Wing Shoes Iron Ranger style is inspired by the Mesabi Iron Range in Northern Minnesota, a rugged area known for its iron mines. The proud men working in these lines where referred to as ‘Iron Rangers’, emphasising their adventurous mentality. The Red Wing Iron Ranger is easily recognised by its double leather toecap to provide an extra measure of safety. On top of that the Red Wing Iron Ranger has extra heel protection for better support.
The Red Wing Shoes 8078 is made with Alpine Portage leather which has a beautiful, scraped look. The Alpine Portage has a vintage-like appearance due to the amount of oil that was used during production and is water, stain, and perspiration resistant. The Red Wing 8078 Iron Ranger has a an unbreakable Vibram 430 lug outsole and comes with black round taslan and black leather laces.
